For anyone on a tight food budget, but primarily focused on people of advanced age, handling their own grocery shopping and meal prep. Learn how to make the healthiest food choices, for the least amount of prep and the lowest cost. Special considerations will be discussed for low sugar, low sodium, low fat, soft foods for difficulty chewing, and limited mobility for prep. Cooking for one or two and proper storage for extending trips to the grocery store will also be discussed. By the end of the class, participants will create a sample menu and grocery list.
